Addresing The Raising of Poverty Number, Pastika Instructed Staffs to Review Directly

Responding Central Agency on Statistic’s (BPS) data, regarding the increasing of poverty rate in Bali which is only 4.47% on March 2015 rising to 5,25% on September 2015, Governor Pastika instructed  all head of agencies to check the real condition, especially in these 6 villages, Abuan, Binyan, Langgan, Mengani, Sepang Kelod and Ulian. It was conveyed when he met head of agencies and the interim of Bangli regent, Dewa Gede Mahendra Putra in governor meeting room, on Wednesday (13/1). “Eventhough it is based on number, but it should get a quick response and check it directly,” said Pastika.

According to Pastika, while checking in these 6 poor vilages, we should regard some aspects like education and health facility as well as condition of infrastructures in village. By reviewing directly, we are able to find the problem to solve, so these 6 villages could raise becoming a village which able to develop and the end becoming village which has the ability to be independent. “If we could not increase their standart completely, at least we can increase the development in each village,” added Pastika. Pastika also instructed all agencies to synchronize the programs and focuse on development in these 6 villages. Pastika expected there will be a concrete effort in solving the poverty problem, so in the future we will able to minimize the number of poverty. Beside that, Pastika also expected the data about education and health facilities as well as infrastructure should be updated, so the teh program will be right on target.

Meanwhile, Interim of Bangli regenet, Dewa Gede Mahendra Putra thanked to Bali provincial government for its attention on poverty, especially in Bangli, because 5 of villages located in Bangli. These 5 which located in Kintamani sub-districts villages are Abuan, Binyan, Langgan, Mengani and Ulian. He also added the first step is comparing data between owned by BPS and Bangli. Next, he promished to review directly the real condition. He also optimished there will be a different data, regarding BPS’s released in 2014. Dewa Mahendra also expected in the future provincial and local government could be together solving the poverty problem.
